It was a strange feeling to put a period on the last sentence of my manuscript, and quite honestly, I felt a little bit lost as soon as I let it all sink in. I had a spent a good portion of the last year writing this story and investing so much of myself into the process, but when it finally came to a close, I felt like a small part of myself ended along with the story.
Of course it's far from over, being that this is only the first book in a series to come, but after it was all said and done, I felt an overwhelming sense of accomplishment, yet a bit of sadness as well.
But just when I thought I'd take a bit of a break from it all, I thought, oh my gosh! There is so much to do! Not only is there the finalization process of the book itself, but then there's also the publication and everything that entails to follow. Suddenly there was this realization that there was no break to be had if I was going to get this out in time, and here we are!
With so much to do in so little a time, I've got my hands pretty full at the moment, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.
I am extremely blessed to have simply gotten this far and am so excited to see what's next!
